Session 8 (700 xp)

Heroes: Lewion, Kerrik, Lhariel.

The Hereos clean up Wave Echo Cave, making sure no more humanoids, undead guardians, or other monstrosities remain in the compound.

Then they return to Phandalin, where they are hailed as heroes, and receive the accolades and gratitude of the townsfolk and their leaders.

They enjoy a few weeks of well-earned rest, taking care of a few personal matters, and planning their next adventure!

Session 7 (1,130 xp)

Heroes: Lhariel, Jalazar, Kerrik, Olo, Lewion.

The Heroes encounter and fight more flesh-eating undead in the abandoned caves, including a fearsome flameskull blasting them with fiery explosions!

Further to the north they meet a group of bugbear minions of the Black Spider, led by a doppleganger. Not too far from them, they discover the holding cell of one of the Rockseeker brothers, luckily still alive: upon regaining consciousness, he points the Heroes to where the Black Spider was seen last.

In the Temple of Dumathoin, keeper of secrets under the mountain, they face the Black Spider, a dark elf wizard and criminal mastermind, and his pet giant spiders. The villain tries to entangle the Heroes in his magical webs, while his spiders nibble at them.

With team-work and a bit of luck, the Heroes defeat the spiders, and kill the Black Spider, putting an end to his nefarious plans.

Session 6 (800 xp)

Heroes: Kerrik, Olo, Jalazar, Lhariel.

The Heroes escort Gundren to Phandalin, and then travel to Wave Echo Caves, so called for the thunderous sound of crashing waves that can be heard inside the tunnels.

During their explorations, they must fight against the oozes and vermins infesting the caves, and several undead creatures awakening at their passage.

Still no trace of the Black Spider and his minions, but certainly the villains are hiding deeper into the caves.

Session 5 (560 xp)

Heroes: Kerrik, Lewion, Olo, Jalazar, Lhariel

The Heroes meet the elven druid Lhariel, who congratulates them for having slain the dragon, and offers his help in their future adventures.

The Heroes explore the remaining buildings, and meet a group of cultists affiliated with the Cult of the Dragon, an evil organization aiming at conquering and terrorizing the nearby territories. The meeting ends in slaughter, as the Heroes kill the cultists.

Back to the druid Reidoth, the Heroes learn of the location of Cragmaw Castle to the south. They travel there, and infiltrate the compound, now inhabited by goblins led by King Grol, a fearsome bugbear.

When they meet the king, he's not alone: his pet wolf, and a female dark elf are with him, together with the unconscious Gundren Rockseeker, the dwarf they've been searching for so long. The Heroes attack and defeat their opponents, believing the dark elf to be the Black Spider himself; but they're disappointed to discover that the creature is a doppleganger.

Having rescued Gundren, the dwarf begs the Heroes to accompany him back to Phandalin, and then go to reclaim Wave Echo Cave, the mythical mines he's searched for long years, now probably infested with the servants of the Black Spider.

Session 4 (1,450 xp)

Heroes: Lewion, Kerrik, Olo, Numo, Jalazar.

The Heroes travel to Thundertree, where they must contend with Ash Zombies, and weird plant creatures. Eventually they meet Reidoth the Druid, who tells them that the ruins are now inhabited by a young green dragon, and several cultists treating the warm like a god.

The party volunteers to take care of the dragon, and lay ambush to the ruined tower where he lairs. The fight against Venomfang is brutal, and several Heroes are on the brink of death. But with the last of their strength, they manage to slash at the beast one last time, killing it, and claiming its treasure!

Session 2 (480 xp)

Heroes: Lewion, Kerrik, Olo, Numo, Jalazar.

The Heroes arrive in Phandalin, stopping first at Barthen's Provisions to deliver the wagon full of supplies. After a night of rest, they have the opportunity to visit the town and meet the locals, many of whom seem to have some job for the party.

Soon the Heroes get in trouble with the Redbrands, a band of thugs terrorising Phandalin. They decide to take care of this threat first, and after a first fight on the streets of the town, they Heroes track the bandits to their hideout under Tresendar manor.

There they kill many bandits, rescue a few prisoners, but most importantly they capture Glasstaff, the bandit's leader. To their surprise, he is none other than Iarno Albrek, a former member of the Lord's Alliance, now turned bandit lord at the service of a mysterious mastermind called the Spider.

The Heroes deliver him to Sildar, and enjoy the accolades of the townsfolk, now free from the Redbrands.

Session 1 (350 xp)

Heroes: Lewion, Kerrik, Olo, Numo, Jalazar.

The Heroes are hired by a dwarf named Gundren Rockseeker to bring a wagonload of supplies from the city of Neverwinter to the settlement of Phandalin. The dwarf and his warrior escort, Sildar Hallwinter, will travel ahead of the heroes to arrive early in Phandalin and prepare the Heroes' arrival.

After a few uneventful days of travel, the Heroes spot two dead horses on the trail. Investigating, they realise these are the horses of Gundren and Sildar, struck down by several goblin arrows.  Moments later, a band of goblins jumps out of hiding, to ambush the Heroes.

The party manages to survive the encounter, and follow the goblin's tracks back to their hideout. Inside, they must face more goblin, and their fearsome bugbear chief, Klarg, before they can rescue Sildar. Unfortunately, there's no trace of Gundren: it seems he was carried away to some place called Cragmaw Castle, due to a map he carried, showing the location of a mine called Wave Echo Cave.

In the hideout, they also find several crates belonging to the Lionshield Coster, a trade guild also based in Phandalin. The Heroes load all they can on their wagon, and together with Sildar they continue on the trail, hoping to reach Phandalin without more troubles.
